A painful back and left ankle put paid to national rhythmic gymnast Ng Joe Ee’s hopes of a fruitful outing as she could only finish 11th in the final of the individual all-around event of the Hangzhou Asian Games at the Huanglong Sports Centre Gymnasium here last night.

Rhythmic gymnast Ng Joe Ee had butterflies in her stomach during her first routine on her Asian Games debut but, thankfully, she managed to stay calm and regain her composure to dance her way into the final of the individual all-around event.

Rhythmic gymnast Ng Joe Ee should expect a difficult task at the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games as the forthcoming multi-sport event will pose a significant challenge to the 2022 Commonwealth Games double gold medallist.
