KUALA LUMPUR – Terengganu Cycling Team’s (TSG) Jesse Ewart won Stage 4 of the Tour of Thailand (ToT) today after edging Thailand Continental Cycling Team’s Thanakhan Chaiyasombat at the finish line.

Today started in Phitsanulok and ended in Phichit, spanning a distance of 155.9km.

Adne van Engelen of Roojai Insurance from the Netherlands finished third on the podium.

This is TSG’s second stage win at the ToT after Muhammad Nur Aiman Rosli’s solo finish in Stage 2 on Tuesday.

“It is unreal that we won, it doesn’t get better. The conditions were tough today, with scorching heat making it a challenging ride. But I got lucky, as today was slightly cooler compared to yesterday.

“I will fight for my teammates Anatilii Budiak and Irwandi Lakasek in their pursuit for the general classification.

“I’ll be paying for this effort today so I think I’ll take it a little easier tomorrow,” said the 29-year-old Irishman.
