KUALA LUMPUR – The family of a 64-year-old e-hailing driver has appealed for public assistance in locating the senior citizen who has been missing for nearly three days now.
Mohan Kuppusamy was last seen by his family on August 14 at around 2.30pm when he left his home in Dengkil with his car to start work as a Grab driver.
However, Mohan’s family started to sense something amiss when he failed to return even after midnight, which is when he usually ends his work day.
This led to his 59-year-old wife lodging a police report at the Dengkil police station at about 2pm the next day (August 15), according to a copy of the report sighted by Scoop.
Mohan’s nephew, Gajein Pragash, 24, told Scoop that the family grew increasingly concerned when calls to his uncle’s mobile phone were left unanswered.
Gajein also said that Mohan’s silver Perodua Bezza car was located near a restaurant at Jalan Imbi in Bukit Bintang, here, on the evening of August 15, thanks to several other Grab e-hailing partners posting pictures of the vehicle in a Grab drivers’ WhatsApp group.
“There’s no CCTV (video surveillance) near to (Mohan’s) car. It’s very hard for us to determine what really happened to him,” Gajein added.
Scoop has reached out to the Sepang police headquarters for further information on the case.
Those with information on Mohan’s potential whereabouts can contact Gajein at 018-268 4172. – August 17, 2024
