KUALA LUMPUR – CelcomDigi Bhd has said there has been “no or limited impact” on customers and its operations during the global IT outage triggered by a CrowdStrike software update yesterday.

In a statement today, the mobile network operator said network services were unaffected, and that its customers were able to use their data and voice services as normal.

“Some disruption was experienced on its support services, such as reload capabilities, for which service recovery teams were immediately deployed to set up workarounds, offering customers alternatives to continue reloading during this period.

“The company will continue monitoring its network and support services to ensure customers continue to enjoy CelcomDigi services seamlessly,” it added.

It has said customers who believe they have been impacted are encouraged to call CelcomDigi’s support hotline for help (Celcom: 019-601-1111, Digi: 016-2211-800).

To keep customers duly informed, the company is posting service-related announcements on its website front page and on social media, with more information on support provided during these events on its Notices page, it said.
