KUALA LUMPUR – A 64-year-old e-hailing driver, who was reported missing on Thursday, is undergoing treatment at Cyberjaya Hospital after he was found in the wee hours of this morning.
Mohan Kuppusamy’s wife received a call from a security guard on duty at a parking area in Jalan Imbi, Bukit Bintang at 3am today, the Grab driver’s nephew, Gajein Pragash, told Scoop.
Gajen said his uncle was found in a semi-conscious state with his shirt, wallet, phone and car keys missing.
Upon arrival at Cyberjaya Hospital, it was discovered that Mohan had suffered a minor stroke as well as several injuries to his head, arms and feet, believed to be from a fall when he fainted.
Mohan has been admitted to undergo medical treatment for blood clots in his brain as well as severe dehydration.
“I asked (Mohan) some questions earlier (on) whether he remembers anything from when he went missing, but he didn’t even know that he has been missing for four days,” Gajen said, adding that his uncle appeared to be traumatised by the incident.
Yesterday, Scoop reported that Mohan was last seen by his family on Wednesday at around 2.30pm when he left his home in Dengkil with his car to start his job as a Grab driver.
However, Mohan’s family started to sense something amiss when he failed to return even after midnight, which is when he usually ends his work day.
This led to his 59-year-old wife lodging a police report at the Dengkil police station at about 2pm the next day, according to a copy of the report sighted by Scoop. – August 18, 2024
