KUALA LUMPUR – Hong Kong boy band Mirror have cancelled the Kuala Lumpur stop of their Mirror Feel The Passion Concert Tour 2024, which had been scheduled for April 28 at Axiata Arena, allegedly due to funding problems faced by the event’s organiser, Unusual Entertainment.
According to Dimsumdaily Hong Kong, the organisers had commenced pre-sale for tickets on March 26, with prices of RM1,088 (VIP), RM888, RM688, RM488.
However, the tour has not been cancelled, as the band will continue with a show in Singapore on May 1.
Ticket holders in Malaysia will have the option of either requesting for a full refund or can choose to exchange their tickets for the Singapore show.
It is understood that the organiser will contact affected patrons through the ticketing agent for details on ticket refunds, exchanges, and compensation, as they are advised to keep purchased tickets safe.
Overseas fans who bought tickets are eligible to claim reimbursement for travel expenses accrued before the concert’s cancellation by submitting relevant supporting documents to the organisers.
Mirror began their tour in Hong Kong in January, followed by shows in London (March 12), Manchester (March 14), San Francisco (April 5), Los Angeles (April 9), New York (April 13), and Toronto (April 17).
After Singapore, they will end their tour with shows in Macau on May 17, 18, and 19.
The group had recently released its single Day 0, which the boy band collaborated with NBA star Damian Lillard, who is also known as Dame D.O.L.L.A.
This is Mirror’s second English-language song, following the release of Rumours in 2023.
At the same time, all 12 members starred in the Cantonese heist comedy We 12, which premiered in Hong Kong cinemas in March, marking their first film together as a group. – April 19, 2024
